I’ve had this tent for 5-6 years now and it’s held up to every storm I’ve been though including storms that have destroyed every other tent in the camp ground. Just make sure to use the guy lines and your good to go. The tent is low to the ground and round = wind resistant.

Just going by the … Just going by the demo tent in the store, but this item does not look particularly sturdy. Maybe it will hold up to a rain or storm but just picking it up and shaking it around did not make me feel assured that this thing would hold up.

this tent is … this tent is excellent for texas heat because of the superior ventilation. The rain fly that has full coverage ensures no rain in your tent. This is one of the best 2 person 3 season tents available!

I’ve now been using … I’ve now been using the REI Half Dome you see in the video for several camping trips including some heavy rain. It’s held up beautifully and just get easier to set up every time. To put it away just fold the main section into thirds lengthwise and roll it up with the poles in the middle of the roll. Fold the rainfly up as you wish and just slide it back into the bag with the main section. You can fold the footprint up and stuff it into the bag with the stakes. Very easy.

I should have … I should have included cost in the vide. It’s very competitively priced for tents in its class at a retail of $169 and the footprint is $26.50. But if you’re an REI member you get at least 5% back as a dividend every year plus they’ll take anything back if you ever have a problem with it or just don’t like it.
