Avatar-Movie Review *No Spoilers*
Avatar Review (3D IMAX)-released 12/18/2009:
When I did this Review at 4 in the morning I was really tired and did not touch on a few key points. I forgot to mention in my review that Zoe Saldana who provided the voice work for Neytiri did an incredible job, It will be hard to top how much emotion and life she put into a cgi character. I also wanted to clairfy that when i said I thought it could have been shorter I meant that I thought certain scenes were not needed and had they put more scenes with Jake learning how to become one of the navi or more back story for Jakes character I would have been fine with it being 2 and a half hours or even longer. But just because I felt it could have been shorter does not mean I didnt like this movie. I thought it was a very entertaining and good film and Im happy to see that the majority of people loved this film.

I felt that when he …
I felt that when he made this movie, that it wasn’t about the individual characters, that they were there to only really add substance to those who wanted it. I felt that this is one of those few movies that the big story is what counts. After a few minutes, I began to watch the movie with my focus on the overall story and the fight between us and the Navi. That’s when I felt that it was amazing, he hide alot of ideas in that movie

i saw the 2d yesterday and i have to say it is one of the best movies i have ever saw i wasnt bored at all i thought the plot was really well the visual was stunning i got goosebumps in the movie thats how good it was

I saw it in 2D on friday and I’m seeing it in 3D on the 22nd. Ive watched alot of reviews and I feel like everyone is trying really hard to find something to nitpick about it. It seems like people have found it easy to criticise the plot simply because the graphics are out of this world, and its ashame. I felt it flowed well, every second was enjoyable and I think the plot and little dialogue was fine because I feel Cameron was trying to focus on emotion and not big words like all other movies!

Just watched it …
Just watched it last night, I had great time watching it in 3D. Before watching it I was thinking about being too long but once you put those 3D glasses on, you feel like in the movie.
Definately A+ and watching it again.

Have you not seen the godfather, scarface, goodfellas, the good the bad and the ugly? There are way better 3 hour films than this. The story just isn’t compelling enough for it to justify being 3 hours long. Other than that, pretty good film and definitely the most visual stunning ever.

When you starts to hurt for sitting down too long in a theater, that’s when you know a movie is too long XD. But overall, it was good. And the acting was great to me, I don’t know what your talking about saying it was horrible.

9.5 out of 10, the action was well balanced not too much and not too little, and the slow motion was a plus. this had to be the best 3hr movie i’ve seen yet, this will be a buy for me on bluray, i will watch this movie again for $150

I watched this movie in standard 2d and thought it was fantastic. I do agree with alot of what you are saying though. It was about 20-30mins too long and could have been shortened and yes apart from the two main characters the other ‘blue characters’ didn’t really seem to have a connection with the audience. In 3d this would have taken away the story, because as you said you are too busy looking at the visuals. Good review, but personally I’d give it 8.5 maybe 9/10

I felt the movie was way too long as well. I was also expecting more of a back story to the main character as well. I liked the movie, but I dont think I will go see it again, unless I am with a friend who has not seen it. 3D of course.
