The Ultimate Grand Daddy of web hosting (Hosting Reviews)
when u bump into a website that has Reviews on top web hosting companies….what is the company that you commonly see….?
would you trust the older companies like yahoo (that has been in the business for a very long time……or would you trust the new ones with greater / has more offers…..?
how about yahoo web hosting?
I recommend Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com/Hosting.html
They’re the best:
1. You get a free domain from them (actually 2 if you use the promo code, more about that later)
2. They have 500 GB of Disk Space and increasing
3. 5TB (5000 GB) of Bandwidth and increasing
4. You can use their huge Disk Space and host multiple sites on a single account.
5. Their price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly)
6. Which is a pretty standard price but they currently have a promotion:
Use the Promo Code: PLUS (at sign up page) and get a $50 discount + 2 Free Domain Names
7. This way you get them for $69.40/year ($5.78/month) including 2 Free Domain Names!
P.S. If you’re willing to pay $20+/monthly for a webhost I recommend:
1. http://www.mediatemple.com
2. http://www.slicehost.com

Honestly I cannot stand Hosts like Dreamhost, HostGator and BlueHost. They promise you so much bandwidth, once you get even 1/8 there they suspend your account. It is impossible to ever get to how much they say you can get. They oversell which makes them unreliable and personally slow. That is when I found Phynom. They are an amazing web host. They don’t oversell. What they give you is achievable, unlike most of the others. IMHO One of the Best.
Good Luck

Just keep in mind a lot of those sites are just fake reviews, you should find a site where every host has negative reviews.
Big hosts are ok, they are just big and can leverage their size. It all depends on what is right for you.
I’d avoid Yahoo though as they suck.
Any of the big 10 are good.
