Should I go with Toshiba Flat Screen TV or the Inisignia FSTV?
So I’m looking to invest in a Flat Screen TV after being with my big bulky tube for the past couple of years and I think I may have found two reasonably priced pieces that are a decent size and deliver a good picture.
I could go with the Toshiba 26" LCD HDTV for 549.99 http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Toshiba-26-LCD-HDTV-26AV500U/sem/rpsm/oid/206793/catOid/-12869/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
OR
I could go with the Insignia® – 26" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV/DVD Combo http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8632937&type=product&id=1194052042494
I heard somewhere that Insignia sucked and it doesn’t deliver what it should in a tv, but I really dig the DVD Player combo in the TV. From what I’ve read in Customer Reviews the Toshiba is a better buy…
Insignia is Best Buy’s house brand, meaning that a company in Asia makes these TVs specifically for Best Buy. The models are not made particularly well and there is no brand to back it up if you have a problem.
I would go with the Toshiba, but shop around, you can probably get a better deal. Toshiba monitors their pricing very closely, so you won’t get a great deal from the major retailers.
Once you have selected a TV, check out this site to see if you are getting the best deal. They will do the work for you and find the best prices, including coupon codes, from reputable retailers.
