I live in my basement meaning i have no heat, no a/c, and no circulation. I purchased a heater, fan, and Air Purifier. i vacuum at least 3 times a week and constantly spray febreeze, lysol, etc. i always clean my clothes too. I recently adopted two kittens. They live in my room(they have no access to my house, allergy reasons). oh and for the people who think thats mean it is a big room, 25′ x 30′. Anyway, it is summer now and it smells worse than ever. my room always had an odor even before kittens due to the basement. But it didn’t smell bad. Now whenever i walk into my room i gag from the odor. They are definitely not spraying so i came to the conclusion that it is the litter box. I clean it literally 4 times a day and change it once every 5 days. i even bought the expensive arm and hammer clumping litter. I also purchased a thing to hold the poop. that was a link for the product. sounded great with the Reviews but i dont know. My dad is going to bring home an air ionizer thing but i would really appreciate alternate ideas. I need alot of ideas because if the smell doesn’t go away i have to get rid of them my parents say. Thank you everybody
they are both spayed females. i understand odor is odor. Maybe if there are products that i can buy that have long lasting effects but i dont know what

Try changing the box every 3 days and try the new arm and hammer that controls both types of odors.
